Local Agent Attends Brooke’s National Franchise Convention
Richardson Brooke agent gains knowledge from convention in Las Vegas

Corporation, recently attended the company's third annual convention, held Oct. 21-23 at the
South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev.
The three-day event featured a variety of educational sessions, networking opportunities and
keynote address by Super Bowl champion football coach Dick Vermeil. As one of four
coaches to lead two different teams to the Super Bowl, one of five coaches to guide three
different teams to the playoffs, being named "Coach of the Year" at four different levels, and
being the only head coach to win both the Super Bowl and the Rose Bowl, Vermeil's
experience in leadership gave Brooke franchisees insight on the right steps to serving their
customers and standing out in their communities, Nyamandi said.
Educational breakout sessions included a marketing “boot camp”, a session on financial
analysis, and a workshop that showed franchisees how to become exceptional business
owners. Additionally, a vendor exhibition was held where franchisees could network with many
the insurance carriers and vendors with which Brooke has relationships.
Brooke also celebrated, during convention, the achievement of the $1 Billion in Premiums
Milestone, which was recently reached by the company’s franchisees. Brooke allocated
$10,498,000 in commissions to its franchisees during September 2007. Based on an estimated
average commission rate of 12.5 percent, Brooke franchise and company-owned locations
wrote premiums in September at a rate that would exceed $1 billion on an annualized basis.

standpoint and an overall insurance industry point-of-view," Nyamandi said. "I gathered a lot of
valuable information from the training sessions, the speakers who brought insight about
leadership and success, and the many networking opportunities."
